The shop has been specifically designed for the protection of large steel structures, and has been operating since 1982.

The facility is conveniently located approximately 20 Km. North of Milan, on the A4 Milan-Turin Turnpike (exit Boffalora) and Malpensa International Airport is only 10 Km. away. 

Special care is given to the Quality Control, with a daily schedule of records of the various parameters and environment conditions required before, during and after the  surface preparation, application and curing.

All inspection and control instruments required for surface preparation, steel preparation, environment parameters, wet and dry film thickness, salt detection, adhesion tests, holiday detection etc…are available and periodically calibrated.

The total facility area is of more than 20.000 sqm. where are located:

a)    2.000 sqm. unsheltered storage  area

b)    sqm covered storage area f or structures ready to be blasted

c)    Blasting cabinet (dimensions m. 5.00 X 5.00 X 19.00) with automatic abrasive reclaiming and cleaning system and dust collector.

d)    8 turbines centrifugal blast cleaning unit (working dimensions m. 2.50 x 4.50 x 25.00) with dust collector.

e)    2 closed and heated painting cabinets, with the following sizes: m. 5.00 x 5.00 x 19.00 and m. 5.00 x 10.00 x 20.00 and adequate scrubbers for environmental regulations compliance.

f)      Furnace for baked linings (working sizes m. 3.60 x 3.90 x 15.00)

g)    2.000 sqm. closed and heated storage shed for curing and painted structures

h)    10.000 sqm. unsheltered storage area

The handling of the structures is done by means of two 10 Ton and one 5 Ton overhead traveling cranes, a large number of trolleys, one 12 Ton crane truck, one 8 Ton and one 2.5 Ton fork lifts.

Light weight structures can be conveyed throughout the whole facility with an overhead monorail with 120 hooks, 500 kg load each.

Air supply is given by electric screw compressors for a total 25.000 liter/minute at 9 bar.

Compressed air is dehumidified and filtered by means of after cooling units.

Raisers: 20mm. d.t.f. polyurethane cladding.

b)    Close and heated painting cabinet, size m. 6.00 x 5.00 x 15.00 with adequate scrubbers for environmental regulations compliance.

c)    1.500 sqm. closed and heated storage shed for curing and painted structures

d)    3.500 sqm. unsheltered storage area

e)    200 sqm close shed for the pre-construction of thermal insulation pieces.

The handling of the structures is done by means of one 6.5 Ton overhead traveling crane, a large number of trolleys, one 15 Ton crane truck,  and one 1.5 Ton fork lift.

Air supply is given by electric screw compressors for a total of 15.000 liter/minute at 10 bar.

Compressed air is dehumidified and filtered by means of after cooling units.
